Permanent split capacitor motor ( PSC )

These motors have a cage rotor and its rotor consists of two main and auxiliary windings. A single phase induction motor has only one capacitor C which is connected in series with the starter coil. Capacitor C is permanently connected in the circuit during startup and working conditions. These engines have advantages. For example, in these types of engines, there is no need for a centrifugal switch; This engine has a higher efficiency; Due to a permanently connected capacitor, it has a higher power factor and a higher output torque. However, these motors cannot be used for continuous operation.

Grooved pole motor

The slotted pole motor is a simple type of self-starting single-phase induction motor that consists of a stator and a cage-type rotor. The stator consists of distinct poles. Each pole is grooved on the side and a copper ring is installed on the smaller side. This part is called the grooved pole. The coil is usually a single-turn coil and is known as a slotted coil.

The difference between single-phase Guanglu motor and three-phase electric motors
